Epistemology in Art, Science, Technology (EpisTeaM)
Epistemology in Art, Science, Technology (EpisTeaM) is a project funded through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges programme under grant agreement No. 101129655.
EpisTeaM aims to develop an international, intersectoral, interdisciplinary network with a common research programme for innovative strategies of technological mediation and innovation with a direct societal impact on knowledge construction (epistemology).
The fundamental problem that the project addresses is the negative impact of digital technologies (including machine learning) on the construction of knowledge and truth. This is an ‘epistemic crisis’ both inside and outside academia. The critical objective of the project is to propose a model of epistemological diversification through transdisciplinary research that will be investigated through the intersections of Art, Science and Technology by an expansion of the boundaries between technological disciplines.
